Where's Waldo cover

Continuing to tap from the nostalgia of the 1980s, a Where’s Waldo film is reportedly in the works by MGM. The live-action project also has Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg attached to the project in the early stages of development. honestly, how did we live without a live-action Where’s Waldo with Seth Rogen for this long, right?

The news comes from an exclusive report from Deadline, which suggests Rogan and Goldberg are spearheading the project. Nothing is official at this point, but the talks are happening and could be resulting in a done getting deal relatively soon.

You are probably asking yourself how anyone could possibly make a movie entirely out of a book series that contained zero words and had just one goal – finding Waldo in his signature red and white stripes. And if you were still hungry for more, you could find the wizard, a cane and a scroll, or a missing cap.

Your guess is as good as anybody’s with coming up with the plot here, but maybe Waldo will be stoned and his buddies have to find him. This isn’t the Where’s Waldo you remember!

So, we have seen multiple Transformers, G.I. Joe, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films in the 21st century. Hollywood even managed to pull off a movie about LEGO. Now we are getting Where’s Waldo? We are also seeing franchises revived like Star Wars, and a new Ghostbusters is on the way. Not to mention, we also saw a reboot of Full House (something exactly no one, except maybe Jodie Sweetin, was demanding). What else from the the past couple decades could be in the pipeline for a new movie in the future?

One thing is sure – this nostalgia trip has to end.
