Dustin Penner interns for Conan O’Brien

Dustin Penner is currently out of work. Like many other hockey players he's also one very bored man. While other hockey players have shifted abroad to continue working in their area of expertise, Penner decided to go in a totally different direction.

Meet the newest intern at the Conan show on TBS – Dustin Penner.

Update: Here's the video.

Penner announced through his Twitter account that he found a new place to work during the lockout – on Conan. He Tweeted two photos, both of which you can see above which are from behind the scenes at Conan. Based on the first photo, the one at the top with Penner skating on rollerblades, it's clear he is trying to lighten the dreary mood surrounding the lockout.

In an article with the Toronto Sun, Penner joked that he was trying to "bully his way to the top of the food chain at TBS". In the same article it was revealed that Penner's skit may or may not make an appearance on Conan in the near future, depending on how it is received internally.

Penner, known mostly for his crippling pancake injury, is also known for having a sharp sense of humor. Let's see if it pays off for him as he tries to kill some time during the lockout.
