Joel Quenneville fined $25,000 for grabbing himself

Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville has been $25,000 for inappropriate conduct during Game 1 against the St. Louis Blues. Quenneville was animated on the bench several times during his team’s defeat, but the fine is likely due to the coach grabbing himself while shouting at the officials.

Apparently that move costs you $25,000. Pretty steep, especially considering some of the punishments handed down to players causing serious injuries. It turns out one grab costs way more than one blow to a defenseless skater.
