Video: Anthem singer falls while singing ‘O Canada’ on skates

This is unbelievable. An anthem singer in Canada this week fell while singing “O Canada.” But, instead of retreating in embarrassment, Mark Donnelly, didn’t miss a beat:

From the National Post:

On the list of things that could go wrong during a hybrid skating-singing anthem performance, falling on your face is likely near the top. But Donnelly seemed rather unfazed. And once he was up, he even pointed the microphone to the crowd to let them sing. While this is his trademark move, it probably conveniently doubled as a chance for him to catch his breath.

Really, all that was missing was the scoreboard falling on Donnelly. Not sure what is worse, the crowd laughing, or the players reaction.

Did no one tell Donnelly about the carpet? What makes this even more bizarre, is in the full video Donnelly gives some bizarre speech, and almost falls during his first go around the ice.

Overall, this is amazing. At least he finished though.
