Video: Cristobal Huet’s amazing save against Canada

France defeated Canada by a score of 3-2 in a shootout at the World Championships. The upset – and what an upset it was – could be credited to Stephane Da Costa’s two goals and by an amazing performance from Cristobal Huet.

Huet’s best save of the game was this gem on Canada’s Morgan Rielly.

Incredible. Huet got just enough with his diving effort to sent Rielly’s shot high and wide.

Huet commented on his save, saying “I was beat, but you know, inspiration.” We could make the argument that his save was more desperation than inspiration, but to each their own. Either way it was brilliant.
