Hockey Tweets of the Week – Week 12

Welcome to a very special Christmas edition of Hockey Tweets of the Week, where we all sit around the fire and watch the snow fall while we all read hockey tweets for Santa Claus. Except for one thing: There’s no snow. In fact, on Christmas Eve it was 71 degrees here. I wore shorts, and Santa is wearing a Johnny Gaudreau t-shirt and Nike performance shorts while distributing presents. So forget the fire, and get the skateboards out.

But first, let’s look at how some of hockey’s luminaries mark the holiday season:

One day, Marian Gaborik will ask himself … “Was it worth it? The Cup … was it worth these candy cane warmups?

They say his heart grew three sizes that day … well past the size limit for goalie pads.

You have a better chance of getting Jack Eichel himself to play in your backyard than for the offside reviews to stop.

Martin Jones exists in your heart. Especially during the holidays.

Darren was never the same after the snow vomited all over him.

It’s a hockey game about nothing.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are Falling Apart

The Penguins thought that changing coaches would save their season. Instead, it took them a week and a half to get Mike Sullivan his first win. Here’s how their season has gone:

This would make the AHL more interesting.

Steve Harvey

It’s been a heck of a week for Family Feud host Steve Harvey, who announced the wrong winner of the Miss Universe pageant. Unsuprisingly, the hockey world opened their arms to welcome Harvey into their world:

Well played, Detroit.

The Roberto Luongo Tweet Of The Week

No, it’s not a photoshop. This is absolutely true.

And Finally …

All he wants for Christmas …

Actually Teemu, I think Jagr looks more like a Bond villain now.

Happy Holidays, everyone.
