Buffalo car dealership buys billboard to persuade Vesey to join the Sabres

The Buffalo Sabres acquired the rights to talented forward Jimmy Vesey in a trade with the Nashville Predators earlier this summer. Even though Vesey felt “very comfortable” after meeting with the Sabres, his agent has indicated that he still has every intention of exploring free agency when he becomes an unrestricted free agent in August.

Vesey would be a huge addition for any team and that’s why one car dealership in Buffalo is going to some big lengths to try and persuade Vesey to sign with the Sabres.

Northtown Automotive is the official automotive dealership of the Sabres and they’re the company behind this billboard. Not only is their message for Vesey going to resonate with Sabres fans, but this piece of smart marketing is garnering a ton of exposure (such as this article here on PDL) which stretches well beyond the normal exposure associate with a billboard.

Will Vesey return the love and sign with the Sabres? It sounds like he at least is viewing it as a possibility, but he may entertain other offers from other teams first.
