Panthers’ goalies train with white pucks to improve focus

Just when you think you have seen every type of training technique, an NHL team surprises you with one. Such was the case with the Florida Panthers who have some special pucks used to enhance the focus of their goaltenders.

Based on just the photo above, you can see how the pucks almost disappear against the ice. The Panthers’ netminders apparently have the tough task of tracking these pucks along the ice in the hopes of increasing their focus when it comes time for the 2016-17 season.

While the photo on its own speaks volumes, it’d be great to see some video of the goaltenders trying to stop these white pucks.
