Penguins initiate Justin Schultz by hanging his clothes above the ice

Every team in the NHL welcomes in new players with their own form of hazing. The term “haze” might be a bit harsh for what usually amounts to juvenile (and hilarious) pranks, but there’s definitely an initiation process in the locker room.

The Penguins had their own creative way of welcoming Justin Schultz to the team.

Schultz didn’t seem too bothered by the fact his clothes were suspended above the ice at practice with “NEW GUY” written on the back in tape.

The Penguin responsible for the prank hasn’t come forward, but you have to give them a lot of credit. It took some impressive coordination (and likely some assistance from workers at Consol Energy Center) to pull this one off.
