The 5 best hockey fights from Week 24

Earlier this week, we highlighted one of the worst hockey fights of the season. Now it’s time to focus on the best of the bunch by once again picking our five favorite fights of the week.

5. Andrew Shaw (CHI) vs Ben Chiarot (WPG) – Mar. 18th

This fight has maybe three total punches in it, but what punches they were from Chiarot. Shaw doesn’t have enough time to find an answer for the quick barrage of punches and just like that this fight is over.

4. J.T. Brown (TB) vs Anthony Duclair (ARZ) – Mar. 19th

This fight start off with a bit of a cheap shot to Duclair and things didn’t improve from there for the Coyotes forward. He had a couple decent punches, but Brown deals the bulk of the damage.

3. Mike Brown (MON) vs Chris Neil (OTT) – Mar. 19th

Neil and Brown fought back in 2010 and it looks like they still have some unresolved issues. Neil comes out on top here thanks to two or three brutal blows to the back of Brown’s head.

2. Ryan Callahan (TB) vs Antoine Roussel (DAL) – Mar. 17th

Roussel is a regular in our fights column and usually he’s on the winning side of things. That’s not the case here, as Callahan is able to keep Roussel off balance with a flurry of rights.

1. Adam McQuaid (BOS) vs Dwight King (LA) – Mar. 19th

McQuaid once again makes our list of the week’s best fights and this time he has a great battle with King. Most of King’s punches are limited to the ol’ “jersey punch” while McQuaid is able to get in quite a few shots, picking up the win.
