The cast of Entourage fights over Jimmy Vesey

If you’ve been wondering what Kevin Connolly and Jerry Ferrara have been doing since Entourage finally stopped filming after the 2015 feature film, the answer might surprise you.

On Tuesday, Ferrara, who played Vincent Chase’s assistant Salvatore “Turtle” Assante on the hit HBO show, made a pitch to college free agent Jimmy Vesey. Ferrara tagged the 23-year-old on Twitter and on behalf of the New York Rangers, the team he claims to cheer for, said he would love to see him in New York. Who could say no to the guy who played Turtle?

Kevin Conolly, who played Eric Murphy on Entourage and is a huge fan of the New York Islanders, called out Ferrara’s Rangers fandom. He tagged Vesey and the Islanders in his post. It’s clear Connolly is pining for the free agent to come to New York’s other team.

Connolly also called out Ferrara for not knowing anything about hockey.

Who wouldn’t be swayed by the actor who recently appeared in Club Life, the TV film Fantasy Life and the reality series parody Barely Famous. How can Vesey say no? Well, fairly easily. Ferrera or Connolly publicly campaigning for Vesey likely won’t make one iota of difference in his decision.

Connolly and Ferrera might have aspirations Vesey will join their respective teams, but he has plenty of options to consider. If I was him, their public pleas would detract me from joining the teams. Do people actually like Entourage in 2016? Did Vesey ever like it?
