Video: Caps and Flyers fight after Dmitry Orlov boarded

The Flyers were already out of Game 3 against the Capitals on Monday, and they’re probably on their way out of the playoffs. But not before one more bit of message sending by the Flyers as Pierre-Edouard Bellemare hit Dmitry Orlov from behind and into the boards.

It set off a huge brawl which featured Radko Gudas wailing on Andre Burakovsky, and Flyers fans tossing their Ed Snider memorial bracelets, with one hitting Orlov in the face:

How bad was it? Flyers fans even got P.A. announcer Lou Nolan upset enough to unleash some snark on them.

Ugly situation all around. It’s a good thing that Orlov wasn’t hurt, and everybody got out of there with their hides intact. With the Capitals coming away with a 6-1 win and a 3-0 series lead, there aren’t many more messages that the Flyers and their fans can send now.
