This may be surprising to some of you, but Damien Brunner is still playing hockey. Currently he’s in Europe in the Swiss league NLA. He plays on HC Lugano and last night they faced ZSC Bern, the team that has soon to be number one overall pick Auston Matthews on their team.
While Matthews was surely the must see player for most scouts, Brunner ended the evening with quite the exclamation point.
The goalie looked as if he was having some sort of a fit, but it wasn’t going to matter what the goaltender did as Brunner’s move would have undressed the best of the best. The best part may be when he almost stares directly into the camera and says with his eyes “I did it!”.
This is hockey at its very best.
