Who says no one cares about the World Cup of Hockey? An exhibition game between the U.S. and Canada saw some extremely physical play, including the hit below which led to Ryan Kesler being ejected for boarding Shea Weber.
That’s not the kind of hit you want to see in a pre-season tournament and it’s especially not one you want to see in a practice game before the tournament even begins.
Team USA said they planned to use their grit and pursuit of the puck to win games, but if this exhibition is any indication, they may just try to injure their way to victory. The rematch on September 20th should be pretty interesting.
