Video: These Kings fans believe they won the Stanley Cup this year

Those who watch Jimmy Kimmel Live regularly will recall a recurring bit called “Lie Witness News”, where the Kimmel camera crew will find people who will fall for any fake news story they feed them, even the obviously fake ones.

Monday night, they fooled people into thinking that it was the Los Angeles Kings, and not the Pittsburgh Penguins, who won the Stanley Cup on Sunday.

Now, I’m sure that these might have been five or six people out of 50-100 or more that were fooled. So this isn’t a slam on the entire body of Kings fans here. But that they found any number of people … in Los Angeles … wearing Kings gear … and claimed to be season ticket holders … who thought that the Kings won the Stanley Cup is incredible. And hilarious. Especially those who remembered some level of pandemonium that actually didn’t happen.

Or perhaps it was Tony Awards pandemonium.
