Devan Dubnyk has some insane stats since he joined the Minnesota Wild

If you follow the NHL (which I assume you do since you found this article), you’re probably aware that Minnesota Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk has been really good over the past couple years. What you might not know is just how good he has been since joining the Wild back in 2014-15.

Even Wild fans may be surprised with how Dubnyk stacks up against the rest of the NHL’s goalies since his arrival in the State of Hockey.

Consider this graphic shown during a recent broadcast:

Dating back to January 15th, 2015, Dubnyk has been dominant and has been a top goalie, if not the top goalie in the NHL. Starts and wins aren’t always the best indicator of success, but the fact that Dubnyk leads in GAA, save percentage and shutouts illustrate just how good he has been.

Perhaps the only thing as shocking as Dubnyk’s numbers is the fact he has posted those numbers while continually flying under the radar. Many wouldn’t even rank Dubnyk in their top-3 list or top-5 when discussing the league’s best netminders. That’s criminal given his run of play.

Minnesota’s strong defensive system deserves some credit, but that shouldn’t take away from Dubnyk’s insane stats.

If you haven’t already, it’s time to recognize Dubnyk as one of the league’s best.
