Erik Gudbranson: Matt Martin “is dead” for line-brawl antics

The Vancouver Canucks had a tough game on Saturday, falling to the Leafs 6-3. The matchup was chalked full of fights, dirty hits and smack talk.

Canucks defenseman Erik Gudbranson took exception to Leafs forward Matt Martin’s antics. Martin chirped at Derek Dorsett after the latter chose not to fight, instead, going against Leo Komarov. Later in the game, Martin jumped rookie Troy Stecher and tussled with multiple Canucks. It was ugly.

Gudbranson told reporters after the game Martin “is dead,” and wisely wasn’t made available for comment.

It’s safe to say there’s a lot of bad blood between the Nucks’ and Leafs.
