Mike Comrie is reportedly being investigated by police over a rape allegation, according to TMZ.com.

According to reports, Comrie met with the unnamed accuser at a Los Angeles bar on Saturday, where they went back to his apartment. She claims that while there Comrie raped her multiple times. TMZ reports sources close to Comrie allege the two have known each other for a prolonged period of time and gave consent. There was also allegedly another woman involved in the incident who hasn’t filed a complaint. The alleged victim had a rape kit administered soon after the incident.

Comrie played 13 seasons in the NHL split between the Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, Phoenix Coyotes, New York Islanders and Pittsburgh Penguins. He last played in the NHL during the 2010-2011 season, where he appeared in 21 games with the Penguins before retiring.

Comrie has been in international headlines post-retirement after marrying singer Hillary Duff. The two were married in 2010 and divorced in 2016 and have a four-year-old son together.

TMZ further reports police have yet to speak to Comrie but are still investigating. We’ll update the story when more details emerge.
