The Blues were roasted on Twitter after the NHL’s Top 100 announcement

The NHL recently announced their 100 greatest players in an event which pretty much boiled down to a glorified Bleacher Report slideshow. The list featured many legends of the game, some controversial decisions and of course plenty of debate. The St. Louis Blues were featured prominently with 14 total players making the cut who have worn the Note at some point during their career.

When the Blues listed all of their recognized players on Twitter, they were instantly roasted.

Ouch.

The list of legends, which is extremely impressive, hasn’t been able to deliver the Blues to their ultimate goal. In fact, they haven’t even made it to a Stanley Cup Final since they made three consecutive appearances between 1968 and 1970. Since then, the Blues have made dozens of trips to the playoffs but have ultimately fell short each time despite rosters loaded with NHL greats.

Even Blues fans, who are arguably the most tortured group of fans in the NHL, can agree that this was a pretty epic burn.
