Video: Andrew Shaw slew-foots Johan Larsson, earns match penalty

Andrew Shaw has been suspended and fined multiple times for chippy play and coarse language and that reputation may play a role in whether or not he receives a suspension for his actions so far in 2016-17. Shaw will likely be receiving another call from the league for his slew-foot at the end of his game against the Buffalo Sabres.

The play is dirty and happens right at the end of the game. I might be able to excuse it if it happened during the run of play, but it was obviously intentional and obviously meant to injure Johan Larsson. Shaw got a match penalty to end the game, so don’t be surprised if he is suspended again for this boneheaded move.

At this rate I wonder if he plays over 40 games.
