Video: Ben Bishop allows flukey goal from center ice

The beginning of the hockey season means that kinks still need to be worked out. The games aren’t going to be perfect and players are going to make some glaring mistakes. Ben Bishop decided to be one of the first casualties of the season when he let in a howler from center ice.

Check out this crazy bounce:

In a mostly decided game, Danny DeKeyser of the Detroit Red Wings went to dump the puck into the Lightning zone and the puck caromed off of the glass, struck Bishop and then went into the net.

The reaction from the Red Wings is priceless, but the reaction from the announcers may be even better. They are almost incensed that the puck went in!
