Video: Jake Virtanen slams Joakim Nordstrom’s head into the boards

The new NHL has less fighting and it’s supposed to make the game better and safer for the players. So far this season, we have already seen tiny cheap shot plays like Andrew Shaw’s slew foot and now Jake Virtanen is trying to get into the scum bag power rankings by slamming Canes forward Joakim Nordstrom’s head into the boards.

No penalty was called on the play.

Last season, Virtanen was suspended two games for a blindside hit on Roman Polak. Slowly but surely he’s building an ugly resume of behavior which will eventually lead to a large punishment from the Department of Player Safety.
