Pierre McGuire doesn’t know who he is interviewing

There aren’t a lot of definites in hockey broadcasting, but the one you can almost always count on is the fact that Pierre McGuire will list your junior team whether you like it or not. He may be grating to some, but for this writer I find his earnest nature quite admirable.

Thursday, January 21st was not a good day for Pierre McGuire though as he had no idea who he was interviewing.

You know for a fact that Pierre wouldn’t have made that mistake with Babcock, but with a new coach like Blashill I guess he will get a pass. I am actually surprised this hasn’t happened more often with many of the new coaches appearing very unassuming.

Pierre like most of us is just trying to do his best.
