Video: Drew Stafford suspended one game for reckless high stick

Drew Stafford may be one of the oddest players in the league. While not being terrible by any means, he isn’t great either. He fills in admirably and doesn’t get his nose dirty. Well, at least until this past week, when he committed a flagrant high stick on Avalanche defensemen Nick Holden.

I can’t even imagine what that must have felt like. I want to cry after seeing that. How does Holden have a tooth left in his mouth? Stafford said that he had no intent to injure but with the force in which he hit him, how could he NOT have any intent? It was plain reckless and now he will pay for it with a one game suspension.
