If you haven’t checked out the National Women’s Hockey League yet, here’s a solid introduction from the New York Riveters and the Connecticut Whale.
The Whale, who are off to an outstanding start and have only lost one game, held a 5-0 lead in the third period. A Riveter skater attempted to clear the crease of a Whale forward and that’s when things boiled over.
Great brawl.
Currently the NWHL only has four teams, but here’s hoping the league gains ground and continues to grow.
