Video: Premature Teddy Bear Toss makes for wild scene in OHL game

The Teddy Bear Toss is a great tradition in junior hockey. The idea is that when the home team scores their first goal, fans throw teddy bears on the ice in celebration. Those teddy bears are collected and donated to kids in need. That’s exactly what happened in last Friday’s matchup between the OHL’s Guelph Storm and Kingston Frontenacs. When the Fronts ‘scored’, fans went nuts throwing the teddy bears on the ice. One problem – a goal wasn’t officially scored. It was a premature celebration.

Oh well, you can’t be mad at generosity even if it’s premature.
