TQBR Prediction Game 5.0, Update #3

Two people this weekend got a nice 600/550/600 combo in the TQBR Prediction Game, and you guessed it: Those two people are now our leaders for 5.0. NattyChamps aka DukeShadeBlue has a 50-point edge over Apemantus for first place. There were 19 people overall who got all three picks right, but a couple of them were late predictions that didn’t count and the rest of the others weren’t as highly bepointed prior to this weekend as NC and AMT.

The call of the week honors are shared by stickfigure and Not Sure aka Jay Ari Yin, both of whom predicted Nonito Donaire winning by knockout in the 5th, one round later than when Volodymyr Sydorenko actually went to his knee for the final time. Four people had Saul Alvarez correctly winning by unanimous decision over Lovemore N’dou and 15 people had Humberto Soto correctly beating Urbano Antillon by unanimous decision. So even though they were more accurate, they were more plentiful, which makes them less cool.

(Upset picks were most popular for Antillon, who won the respect and admiration of eight of us before the fight, and afterward surely all of us. Only one other upset pick came across the wire, with beccapooka getting the not-call of the week by predicting N’dou to conquer Canelo.)

You know what else is rare, besides two people calling a fight within a round of its actual conclusion? Prehistoric sharks photographed alive:
