A Slovenia cyclist thought he had stage five of the Giro d’Italia race all locked up last week. You can see the pure pride and joy on Luka Pibernik’s face as he crossed what he believed to be the finish line. There was actually one more lap (about 3.8 miles) to go.

I thought this was something that only happens to me in Mario Kart. Poor Luka.

Even premature celebration king Desean Jackson has a right to laugh at this one.

As Pibernik celebrated, the pack of cyclists behind him caught up. He fell all the way to 148th as Fernanda Gaviria from Colombia won the race a lap later.
