Jozy Altidore is an under-appreciated star for the United States Men’s National Team. Altidore proved some of the doubters wrong with his free kick goal against Jamaica to give the US a 1-0 lead in the first half of the CONCACAF Gold Cup Final.

HOW!?!?

Notably, Jamaica was without star keeper Andre Blake, who went down earlier in the game with a gruesome hand injury. However, even Blake probably wouldn’t have been able to stop that. It was just a perfect kick. In the second half, Jamaica equalized thanks to a Je-Vaughn Watson volley off of a corner kick.

This was Altidore’s second goal in as many games, as he scored the go-ahead goal against Costa Rica in the Gold Cup semifinal, as well.
