Scottish teams Celtic and Rangers have one of the most heated soccer rivalries in all of Europe.

The Old Firm, as its known, pits the Glasgow-based opponents against each other, and as there’s even a bit of a religious divide between the two fanbases, and you have a recipe for a bitter rivalry indeed.

Rangers spent some time in the lower levels of Scottish football after essentially going bankrupt, but they’re back in the SPL, and today they faced off with Celtic.

If you want a representation of how the game went in one play, well, there’s no better one than this:

Yikes.

My favorite part, I think, is how none of the Rangers players even protest. It was horribly violent, yes, but it was perfect technique, one-foot low to the ground, ball-first. Everyone just runs back the other way while their teammate is prone on the turf. And if you’ve watched a lot of soccer, you know that it doesn’t take much for players to stop playing and protest a call, or lack thereof.

Celtic were victorious 5-1, as well, which is essentially that tackle in scoreline form. Celtic is dominating the SPL this season, so it’s not much of a surprise, but good heavens was that a vicious tackle.
