A lot of things look different when seen in slow motion or seen still. When something hits you in the face, your face contorts and kind of ripples like the aftershocks in an earthquake.

That’s kind of how Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini looked when he had a ball meet him in the face during the UEFA Supercup match against Real Madrid. AP photographer Boris Grdanoski got the perfect shot to capture Fellaini in a moment that temporarily made him look like a Picasso painting.

After the game, when he got back to the locker room, Fellaini probably noted his phone blowing up with Twitter notifications that he probably got that pic thousands of times. He even poked a bit of fun at the situation.

People also had fun with the pic, which has now gone viral, photoshopping Fellaini’s face onto other things and the results are brilliant and hilarious.

Nice to see everyone get a good laugh in the hours leading up to the start of the Premier League season.
