“Not in the face” got a whole new meaning during the New York Red Bulls II vs Richmond Kickers USL match on Friday night.
Red Bulls striker Jared Stroud scored a hat trick, and the first goal he recorded came after Richmond goalkeeper Travis Worra smashed the ball into his face.

This morning, Stroud seemed happy to have finally gotten onto SportsCenter thanks to his incredible face goal.
So apparently this is how you get on SportCenter

Stroud’s other two goals were far more conventional, giving him a classic left foot/right foot/face hat trick.

This game seems like it was a nutty one – Brian White of the Red Bulls scored a great sliding goal and, after goalkeeper Evan Louro was sent off, went into net and made a save.

Hey, @EliasSports
Has any @MLS/@USL player ever recorded a goal, assist & a save as a goalkeeper in a single game before as @_BrianWhite24 accomplished last night?
Thanks! pic.twitter.com/SJOuvMOKKc

Like in Minor League Baseball, crazy shit apparently happens in USL matches all the time. What a night.
