I’d imagine being a sports owner is fun, because you’re rich enough to do whatever the hell you want. There are also problems with being a sports owner, like everyone knowing who you are and nobody telling you when you’ve gone too far.

Enter Mike Ashley, Sports Direct CEO and Newcastle United owner, who had a little bit too much fun at a work party.

From The Telegraph:

The owner of Sports Direct was given a round of applause for allegedly triumphantly vomiting in a fireplace after winning a company drinking contest that involved downing 12 pints of lager, each one accompanied by a vodka “chaser”.

Sounds fun! My guess is he’s feeling a bit less “triumphant” today.

Hopefully Ashley will have many similar celebrations with Newcastle in the Premier League this fall.
