Keurig beer

Anheuser-Busch’s original in-home alcohol maker failed. And so did Keurig’s in-home soda maker. But maybe if they put them together…

That’s the plan, at least, as the companies announced they are working together to make to create a new booze machine using Keurig’s Kold technology and Anheuser-Busch’s brewing and packaging.

Keurig spent more than $1 billion creating the Kold technology, which uses “Karbonater” beads to fizz up drinks, but after their soda machine was discontinued after less than a year, they’re still trying to recoup some of that dough.

The companies did not yet announce a timeline for the release, but soon enough you’ll be able to brew your own beer, spirits, cocktails and mixers with the push of a button, but for now you can settle for Synek’s countertop beer dispenser for $399.

They also have not revealed the product’s price. Keurig’s Kold machine was $370, but A-B’s home draft beer system was $50.
