on Day Nine of the 2015 US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on September 8, 2015 in the Flushing neighborhood of the Queens borough of New York City.

Former tennis player John McEnroe said Monday that Serena Williams “would be (ranked) like 700 in the world” if she were a men’s player, then refused to apologize for that take.

Williams didn’t appreciate what McEnroe said, and many people realize that comparing men’s players and women’s players is pointless. It makes no sense.

According to McEnroe, Donald Trump disagrees. McEnroe said on The Dan Patrick Show that Trump once offered to pay him to play Serena or Venus Williams.

“Over the course of time, people, including our now president—wasn’t president at the time—have offered me sums of money to play Serena or Venus,” McEnroe said.

You can’t make these things up.
