AMC releases 10-second teaser for ‘Better Call Saul’

You can’t get much more “teaser” than a 10-second clip. That’s exactly how much of a preview AMC gave viewers for its Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul, during a marathon of the Emmy-winning drama on Sunday.

Here is the very quick sneak peek featuring Bob Odenkirk’s title character, all 10 seconds of it.

As teasers go, this is pretty effective. If you’re not familiar with Saul Goodman, those 10 seconds gave you a pretty good idea of what he’s like. And for those who already know Saul, that was a quick reunion to bring you a smile.

I’m sure plenty of other TV shows have done this, but the short length of the teaser living up to that category in every sense of the word reminds me of the quick spots FX ran during the spring for The Strain. (Frankly, those teasers have been more interesting than the actual show, but that’s a whole other blog post.)

One key piece of information the teaser includes is that Better Call Saul will premiere on AMC in February.
