Video: A teasing glimpse of ‘Sharknado 2: The Second One’

Were you one of the unfortunate who missed out on the cultural phenomenon that was Sharknado last July? You have another opportunity to tweet some shark snark on July 30, when Sharknado 2: The Second One premieres on Syfy.

(I feel like everyone who wanted to watch this schlockfest at the time did so, but I did hear from a few who tried to catch up later and it just wasn’t the same.)

In case you were wondering the sequel could possibly be as good as the original, this sneak peek shows that… maybe the second one could be better?

It actually looks like the special effects could be improved for this one. Not significantly, mind you, but slightly better. At the very least, the set pieces look more ambitious. A showdown with sharks on a New York subway car beats trying to avoid the aquatic predators in a Los Angeles house.
