Getting rid of their respective bosses (without killing them, as originally planned) worked out pretty well for Nick (Jason Bateman), Dale (Charlie Day) and Kurt (Jason Sudekis) in 2011’s Horrible Bosses. The three have another scheme for Horrible Bosses 2, though murder isn’t part of the plan this time, as you can see in the movie’s new trailer.
The “horrible boss” of this sequel is Christoph Waltz, who plays an investor that’s tricked Nick, Dale and Kurt out of the money they were going to use to start their own business. To take revenge, they kidnap Waltz’s son, played by Chris Pine. But as the trailer shows, son has no love for daddy and wants in on the scheme.
(For Pine, this looks like a nice departure from playing Captain Kirk, which is probably a good career move for him.)
Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston and Jamie Foxx also reprise their roles from the first film, with Sean Anders (That’s My Boy) replacing Seth Gordon as director.
Horrible Bosses 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 26.
