In the ninth inning of Sunday's Twins-Rangers game, Joe Mauer of the Twins hit a ball to deep center field in the top of the ninth inning against Koji Uehara of the Rangers. Rangers center fielder Craig Gentry tracked the fly ball to the wall, timed his leap perfectly, and brought a Mauer homer back over the wall. Unfortunately, it didn't end up mattering for the Rangers, as they'd still end up losing 6-5.
My favorite part of the catch? The infamous Rangers ballhawk in center field patiently waiting to grab Mauer's homer…only to dejectedly walk away when Gentry makes the grab.
