Miguel Cabrera homered over the tiki bar in Clearwater

On Saturday in the Blue Jays-Tigers Spring Training opener, Prince Fielder hit a mammoth homer into the parking lot at Joker Marchant Stadium. During today's Tigers-Phillies game at Bright House Field in Clearwater, it was Miguel Cabrera's turn. In the top of the fifth inning, with Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon on the mound, Cabrera connected with a 1-2 Papelbon fastball and absolutely destroyed it, knocking it over the tiki bar in left field and into a parking lot behind the stadium.

Spring Training or not, you can't leave a pitch like that belt-high and over the inner half of the plate, especially with a hitter like Cabrera at the plate. More often than not, the result will look something like…that.
