The Astros celebrated a walkoff win against a pitching machine

During an intrasquad scrimmage on Thursday, Astros non-roster invitee Brandon Laird hit a single up the middle to give his team the win in the game. Laird and the rest of his team. That's all well and good, but it's not as if Laird got his game-winning hit against an established major league pitcher, or a top prospect on the rise. No, Laird (and for that matter, the rest of the team) was facing a pitching machine. And the team celebrated like they won a key game in a pennant race.

It's going to be a long season, Houston.
