Josh Reddick reaches behind Mets fan to catch foul ball

During Wednesday’s Athletics-Mets game at Citi Field, Josh Reddick made a great catch on a foul pop-up…and he had to avoid a fan to even snag the ball.

There really was no reason for the fan to move – if the ball is out of play, it’s fair game for the fans. And Eric Young Jr. was batting – not an Oakland hitter. Reddick actually did him a favor though. Do you see the way this fan was holding his phone trying to make the catch? If he actually did catch it, he would have his hands full of a shattered phone, and nobody wants that.
