Look: UCLA will wear stars and stripes logo helmet to honor military

This Saturday at Oregon State, UCLA Football will kick off a week-long Veterans Day salute to all current and former members of the military by wearing a special U.S. flag-inspired stars and stripes logo helmet, as well as a camouflage base layer under the team’s white road jerseys.

The following week, on Veterans Day (Nov. 11), UCLA Athletics will auction off a limited number of the special stars and stripes logo helmets online at uclabruins.com. All proceeds will go directly to charitable organizations working to address the issue of veteran homelessness in Los Angeles.

For the team’s home finale/Military Appreciation Day against Washington State a week later (Nov. 14), UCLA Football will honor its long-standing relationship with the U.S Navy Seals by wearing a special helmet, along with a ‘Dark Ops’ base layer under its alternate ‘City’ uniform.
