Watch: Colorado takes safety in closing seconds; beats Stanford

With under 10 seconds left and up 5 points, the Colorado Buffaloes had the ball at their own goal line. On 4th and 21, the Buffs hiked the ball and tried to kill time and then ended up running ball out of the end zone taking a safety but leaving just 3 seconds on the clock.

It was an interesting bit of strategy. Instead of punting and risking something happening and giving Stanford the ball in great field position, they gave Stanford 2 points but only gave them 3 seconds to go the length of the field.
