It’s hardly surprising that UFC fighter Ronda Rousey has gone pretty much incognito after being knocked out in 48 seconds by Amanda Nunes.
Weeks after the loss, Rousey has finally been spotted at her new home in Venice Beach, California, according to the Daily Mail. She was presumably spotted by a paparazzi photographer, who must have been awaiting the fighter’s eventual revealing of herself. She emerged not looking great, and her home didn’t look much better than she did, with the wall of her new home featuring graffiti (pictures are here).
In Rousey’s defense, I probably wouldn’t look much better if I was just relaxing at home and stepped outside. However, she she seems distressed (as best you can tell in paparazzi photos), and you can see the bruises that came as a result of the knockout.
All of us should likely be concerned for the health of Rousey. After her previous loss, Rousey said she was suicidal at certain points, and going quiet like this probably isn’t helping those thoughts from staying away.
We did actually hear from Rousey on Tuesday via Instagram.
While this is a pretty cryptic post, it seems like she might be hinting at retirement. Plenty of people, including Rousey’s mother, have tried to tell Rousey it’s time to hang it up. Maybe she actually will.
