Ryan Newman’s chances at the Chase ended Saturday evening, due to a multi-car wreck.

Newman, however, had plenty to say about one participant in the wreck — Tony Stewart.

During the Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway, Newman and Stewart were involved in a wreck. The crash pretty much sealed the deal that Newman wouldn’t be in the chase. Following the crash, Newman went off on his former boss.

Newman provided some pretty strong accusations against Stewart following the race, including this:

“Guess he thought he was in a sprint car again, can’t control his anger…Google Tony Stewart, you can see all kind of things he’s done. Look it up on YouTube.”

It’s hard not to view it as a reference to the incident from August of 2014, when sprint car driver Kevin Ward was killed after being hit by Tony Stewart in upstate New York.

Stewart provided a different viewpoint on the incident, and makes some valid points as well:

Newman takes some low blows at Stewart, and I think this seems a bit excessive.
