WWE legend Mick Foley needs a hip replacement, but there’s “this tiny little problem,” as he himself put it. He doesn’t have health insurance to cover the $60,000 cost of the surgery.
Foley is now the general manager of Monday Night Raw, but he describes the contract as “a handshake deal,” which is why WWE does not provide benefits.
In a Facebook post, Foley said he had health insurance for 26 years, but his insurer dropped him after missing a payment.
Foley knows that wrestling is a cause of the issue, but he is not bitter about it.

Luckily, I am used to the constant pain – and it’s not like I wasn’t warned by almost every guy in the wrestling business that the moves I was doing as a younger man were going to come back to haunt me. Well, they’re haunting me! The weight-loss has helped considerably; without it, and the DDP yoga, I don’t believe I could even get through airports. But the constant travel means constant pain. I love being the Raw GM, and I will miss it when it’s gone. But my quality of life will probably improve when Stephanie and WWE decide to go in a new direction.

Foley said he may try to land some TV or film roles to get AFTRA insurance, which would include some of the best car insurance he could get. Or maybe he’ll strike a deal to get the surgery by being a salesman after the operation.
“If The Rock can sell tires,” Foley wrote,” then I have to believe I can sell hip replacements.”
