If there ever was a distinction between human being Ric Flair and professional wrestling caricature Ric Flair, it was never a big one, and it’s only gotten smaller over the decades.

Which is why, when you hear that Ric Flair was kicked out of an Indiana bar after only five minutes inside the premises, it’s almost not surprising.

But that’s what happened in Fort Wayne on Sunday night. Here’s the Indianapolis Star with some details:

An employee at The Deck at the Gas House in Fort Wayne told the IndyStar that Flair was “acting like a moron.” She said he called one of the bartenders a “fat ass.”

Flair was only at the bar for a few minutes before he was kicked out.

Yeah, that sounds about right. For context, having spent a few years living in Fort Wayne, I can say that The Deck is a decent place, as far as the Fort Wayne bar scene goes. It’s definitely not the stereotypical Ric Flair hangout; not a dive, not a strip club, not even like a faux-upscale place where you can throw money away, if you wanted. It’s Fort Wayne. It’s a bar, with a deck, so it’s called The Deck.

So if you’re Ric Flair, presented with a bar not typically your scene, what do you do? Apparently decide to bring your scene to the bar, of course. And just how many minutes did it take for Flair to decide it was a place in need of a shakeup?

Well:

The Deck’s other patrons apparently took it well:

Woo, indeed.
