WrestleMania is WWE’s marquee event and while the sports entertainment company is getting ready for this year’s event in Orlando, WWE is looking where to go in 2018.

According to multiple sources within Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE is apparently heading back to New Orleans for WrestleMania 34 sometime in late March or early April 2018. WWE last went to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, or Silverdome according to Hulk Hogan, for WrestleMania XXX which saw Brock Lesnar ending The Undertaker’s undefeated streak and Daniel Bryan winning the opening match and the main event to win the WWE Championship.

A WrestleMania location announcement made over a year in advance isn’t unprecedented. Usually WWE reveals the site for the next WrestleMania sometime before that WrestleMania takes place in order to give WWE an opportunity to market the next event. And as Pro Wrestling Sheet points out, Monday Night Raw is going to be in New Orleans January 9 with Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker advertised to be in attendance. Two superstars who would come to a Raw show for an announcement such as this.

At the same time, WWE has been known to float out a “red herring” every now and then in order to keep their secrets safe so it’s important to wait on booking flights until it’s official. But, considering the success of WrestleMania XXX, New Orleans is a safe bet to host WrestleMania in 2018.
