PIC: NFL players participate in jersey swap after week 1 game

The great thing about soccer having more of an influence in the United States is that it can incorporate some of those time honored traditions from soccer into American sports.

One such instance took place during week 1 of the NFL season. The jersey swap is a very notable tradition in the soccer world. The idea of two players from opposite teams trading jerseys after a hard fought game shows a sign of respect. Lions Tight End Eric Ebron and Chargers Wide Receiver Keenan Allen participated in a jersey swap after their game in which the Chargers won 33-28.

Hopefully this happens more often. It’s something fun for the players. The linemen may not be able to participate if those jerseys need to be cut off of them afterwards they’re so tight but it’ll be fun for some nonetheless.
